Montana Regional Economic Analysis Project
On behalf of the Bureau of Business and Economic Research (BBER), University of Montana, greetings and welcome to the Montana Regional Economic Analysis Project. Using the interactive regional economic tools of analysis at your disposal on this website, we invite you to conduct your own research to examine and assess changing economic conditions and trends of your county or region of interest.

The Bureau of Business and Economic Research (BBER) has been providing information about Montana's state and local economies for over 50 years. Economists at the Bureau research and collect a wide variety of economic and industry data which assist businesses, government agencies, and individuals across Montana. Several research programs within the Bureau study the statewide industries of forest products, health care, manufacturing, and oil and gas. Bureau personnel are available to respond to individual requests for local, state, and national economic data.

Investigate a topic all too often overlooked relating to how the changing mix and role of property income, transfer payments, earned income, and their contributions to growth, have transformed the Montana regional economy against the backdrop of changes nationwide.
The cornerstone of the Montana Regional Economic Analysis Project is the annual data compiled by the Regional Income Division of the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), U.S. Department of Commerce encompassing nearly 4 decades−from 1969 to 2007.
 
Flathead Valley Community College
The Flathead Valley Center for Business Information and Research was formally established in January, 2001 through the vision and financial generosity of 1st Interstate Bank. As an information clearinghouse, the Center provides a venue whereby civic leaders, business and interested parties may obtain economic statistics on the local economy. Consultancy services are also offered to businesses interested in specific business applications.
